being tourists in NYC

Jarom and I had Friday and Monday off for Labour Day weekend, so we decided to take advantage of the extra day by touring the UN which is only open on weekdays, and closed on holidays. It was really interesting and definitely worth the trip! As you can see, we had great weather for the last official days of summer.

After our tour, we decided to brave the Ikea in Brooklyn, which we figured would be a lot less crowded than the last time we went, which was opening Saturday earlier in the year. (There will be no blog post about that - just imagine the chaos of opening Saturday of a long-awaited Ikea that is accessible by public transport and you get the picture.) We took the Ikea ferry, which is definitely more fun than the bus, and saw a lot of interesting boats, the coolest of which are in the photo album.
